The Full Service Internet Agency

Ever since we were founded in 1999 we've been 'crazy about internet'. We regard our work as a craft. That's why we work every day with passion and motivation on your web or software solution. Think about manageable websites, professional webshops, mobile applications and robust middleware...

JBoss achieves highest security certification

The JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) by Red Hat achieved the highest ranking security certification, EAL4+, in February 2012. EAL4+ recognises and certifies a system with a highly structured design, test process and quality control. ISAAC deploys JBoss EAP as a stable base for many middleware and web projects.

Security certification

JBoss EAP is the supported enterprise edition of the open source JBoss Application Server (JBoss AS). ISAAC is a JBoss Advanced Partner and proud of this achievement by Red Hat. Security plays a central role in all ISAAC projects, but some projects require even more in-depth security validation through certifications like PCI-DSS, EAL4+ and awareness of the OWASP top 10.

ISAAC and JBoss

ISAAC has been developing solutions on top of JBoss since 2005, and has acquired a detailed understanding of the system that our experienced specialists can apply in many systems. The EAL4+ certification of JBoss broadens the possibilities of the high-performance high-security JBoss platform even further.

Red Hat

“Security remains one of the most important considerations for security-conscious industries like government, financial services and healthcare considering new technology solutions, and achieving Common Criteria certification gives customers the added confidence that our solutions meet specific, internationally recognized benchmarks for security performance,” Paul Smith, general manager and vice president, public sector operations of Red Hat explains. “We made the commitment to upgrade our Common Criteria certification for the JBoss Enterprise Application Platform from EAL2 to EAL4+, and achieving the highest available certification level is a testament to our ongoing efforts to meeting the needs of security-conscious government organizations and businesses.”

Effective concept for Dimensys DX

Dimensys DX is introducing an innovative product on the European market. CONEXIOM enables users to send documents from their own ERP systems to those of the recipients. Quickly, directly and with no hassles. ISAAC handled the first online communication.

The goal: give visitors fast access to the information they want, and get them to make contact. This is done by using a clear ‘one-pager’, so visitors can quickly scan for relevant information. ISAAC designed the site on the basis of the most important USPs, including convenience and flexibility. ISAAC also made a proposal for the texts. Take a look at the highly effective result on www.dimensysdx.nl

Koen Peters on the latest browsers

“These are exciting times in the world of browsers.”

A few weeks ago Microsoft launched its latest ‘Internet Explorer 9’browser. And it wasn’t a moment too soon: the browser was lagging behind competitors like Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. IE9 has had a big update, especially in speed and security. To everybody’s surprise, the browser follows the latest internet standards. IE9 can now rightly be called a modern browser.

Need for testing

Our experience is that websites viewed in a new browser often aren’t displayed correctly, or look different. But problems like these can be solved simply with some small changes. Thorough testing in advance shows which solutions give the best results. When developing new websites, ISAAC tests them with different browsers, based on a list of the most popular browsers. Because of the increasing downloads of IE 9 and Firefox 4, we expect to add these to the list in the near future.

Sorbo, your household help… and more

Manual entry of incoming orders from multiple customers. That sounds time-consuming… and it is. There’s also a big chance of errors, which no business can afford. Non-food specialist Nedac Sorbo needed an efficient sales channel.

What ISAAC did

ISAAC created an easy-to-manage webshop that makes it easy for small to medium-size customers to place their orders. ISAAC created the concept, and developed an effective design together with the underlying technology. The webshop was also linked to the existing SAP system, so there were no changes in the way Nedac Sorbo worked. Apart from the higher speed, reliability and efficiency! Take a look at the result on webshop.nedacsorbo.nl

Top telephone system for Laser UK

The project was one big technical challenge. But a year later the result is a unique product. “This is the first phone service that’s so flexible to manage” says Friso Geerlings, ISAAC’s CTO Back End. ISAAC developed an extremely flexible telephone system to handle tens of thousands of incoming calls a day for financial services company Laser UK.

“It’s a great system”

There's a wide choice of ‘Business Rules Management Systems’. “Our competitors offer a range of solutions, but these are all much more costly”, Friso explains. ISAAC prefers to use open-source software, which helps to minimise the costs. “But the quality is just as good, and in some cases even better. And as well as that it's a great system to use”. The attractive price level means the service is also affordable for small and medium-size companies

Harense Smid again chooses ISAAC

ISAAC has again been selected by electrical and electronic products retailer De Harense Smid to develop a new webshop. An exciting order, and one that we're more than a little proud of.

ISAAC is responsible for both design and technology of the new webshop, which will be built using the ISAAC webshop platform. This is based on Magento, the leading open source e-commerce solution. Integration of the specially developed ‘Webshop Catalog Manager’ allows products from multiple suppliers to be accessed, which gives De Harense Smid the highest possible flexibility in its product range.

Faster dotCMS websites with plug-in from ISAAC

For years ISAAC has used open-source software, including dotCMS, Magento, JBoss, JQuery and Dojo. The big advantage of open-source is that the software is rapidly improving, thanks to the large number of programmers who are contributing to its development. ISAAC is one of them. We’re now proudly presenting our first plug-in for dotCMS, called Minifier v.1.0. This extremely useful plug-in gives websites built with dotCMS a big increase in speed. So it's a real ‘must-have’ for every dotCMS developer.

We've moved!

ISAAC has been based in Eindhoven right from the start. But after a number of successful years at our former location on Elzentlaan, it had become time to move. Now you'll find ISAAC in the Woensel area of Eindhoven, at Marconilaan 16 in the ‘Obelisk’ office building.

The architect of the office complex, Paul Diederen, received the Dirk Roosenburg Award in 2005. The jury thought this was the most inspiring of the nominated projects, and referred to it as “an innovative boost for the Woensel-West area”. We'll be glad to give you a warm welcome at our new location, where a cup of coffee or a frothy cappuccino awaits you. The great view over the renovated former Philips complex Strijp-S makes a visit well worthwhile.

Visiting and postal address from 1 February 2011:
Marconilaan 16, 5621 AA Eindhoven

Like all real professionals, we make a point of putting an authentic signature under our web and software solutions. The recognisable blue colour has stayed the same. The personal touch is a distinctive feature. And we certainly don't try to hide the fact that we’re still just as "Crazy about Internet" as when we started in 1999. We're pleased to meet you. OHRA selects ISAAC for new implementation of its websites

After a detailed selection process, insurance and financial services company OHRA has once again chosen ISAAC as its partner for the implementation of a single, central content management system (CMS). The combination of many years of experience in the banking and financial market on the one hand, and the proven expertise of ISAAC with the powerful dotCMS content management system on the other, were the decisive factors for OHRA in choosing ISAAC.

ISAAC has already for a number of years provided the Delta Lloyd group, of which OHRA is a member, with interaction design, usability advice, conversion optimisation and technical support services.

One CMS for entire online portfolio

As well as its own website, OHRA's online portfolio includes various other websites for online sales of insurance and financial services products. These sites were created by different suppliers, not always using a CMS, and based on different techniques. The resulting diversity makes management of the sites unnecessarily difficult, which is why OHRA wants to manage all its sites using a single CMS. ISAAC offers a complete solution with the dotCMS open-source content management system, which it has already used successfully for more than 30 domains in the financial industry.

Case: Webshop Megapool.nl

http://www.megapool.nl

Megapool.nl is a nationwide webshop with a broad range of electronic and household products. Consumers can view and purchase products from Megapool.nl every day. Megapool.nl is committed to contributing to a better environment, for example by pointing out to consumers the importance of buying energy-efficient products.

ISAAC had already developed a complete custom-made webshop for Megapool.nl, and after a number of successful years Megapool.nl was ready for a new webshop. One of the most important requirements was more control of the content of the webshop. To meet this requirement, ISAAC developed a flexible webshop based on the ISAAC webshop platform. This uses Magento, the open source e-commerce solution. The result? A user-friendly webshop, with special attention for conversion. The integration of the specially developed Webshop Catalog Manager allows access to products from multiple suppliers, giving Megapool.nl an extremely high level of flexibility in its product range. The entire webshop is linked to SAP.
