OTC PHARMA International wants to establish online contact with its target group through its ellen®-brand probiotic tampons. Besides the usual retail channels, it intends to sell its ellen® products directly via an interactive website.

The Challenge: Create an interactive website to position ellen® in the market

ISAAC provided ellen® with advice on how to develop its website into a powerful communication channel, and partner APS Building Brands signed up for the graphic design. The objective was to create an informative site where ellen® could obtain information about its users in a fun and engaging manner as well as a webshop for the sale of ellen® products.

To strengthen the bond with the visitor, ellen® offers various interactive features. One of these is the option to request ellen® sample sets. ISAAC also created a quick and easy quiz on tampon use with 15 questions. By logging in, and thereby entering client data, the client can view recommendations based on the test answers. And with the collected information ellen® can reach its target group.

The website provides a second entry point for use by medical professionals interested in background information. There is also a module with which overviews can be viewed and printed and news items can be placed online.

Final result

www.ellentampons.nl has been online since September 2008 and has already received many visitors. The initial free sample set drew 15,000 responses. And many of these women (thousands) completed the online test, providing ellen® with a good profile of its customers. The company can now also address these customers directly via an e-mail newsletter.
