Last week, Belgian fashion retailer Checkpoint's brand new website went live. Offering an extended range of over 60 clothing labels, both national and international, Checkpoint is the most renowned fashion retailer in the Kempen region. Online companies have only a few seconds to convince their webshop visitors to buy something. In order to inspire, inform and trigger online visitors to visit Checkpoint's physical store, ISAAC has build their new website using the modern Shopware e-commerce platform; for a optimum user-experience, performance and design possibilities.
Online look book
Checkpoint inspires its website visitors with specially composed 'looks'. For each season Checkpoint creates 50 looks based on that specific season. Every article from each look can be viewed separately and in detail. Together with Checkpoint, ISAAC has chosen to use Shopware as a platform, as Shopware is the most optimal platform for webshops and websites whose main focus lies on content and storytelling.
Customized development on brand new 'experience platform'
Prior to developing the new website, during 3 sessions ISAAC, together with Checkpoint, had established a development plan; together we looked at the front-end flow, design, user experience and which technology to be used. After these sessions ISAAC started developing a brand new 'experience' platform in Shopware. The main focus of this project was to create conversion from the website to the physical store. Therefore creating a check-out on the website was not needed. Due to the integration with Checkpoints back-office the website can show prices and stock.
With a wide range of more than 60 clothing brands from home and abroad, Checkpoint is the most notable fashion retailer in its area. With a fresh, constantly innovating mix of Scandinavian, English and Italian brands, they try to give European fashion trends and styles a Flemish character. In doing so Checkpoint tries to surprise its customers with a wide range of men's clothing, shoes and a wide range of fashionable accessories and lifestyle products.
