Inspiring! A great success. A very interesting and educational day. The VR and AR experiences were the icing on the cake. Great location! These are just some of the many excited reactions of visitors of this event.
On Thursday 16 June, the first Hype or Trend event took place in the iconic Evoluon in Eindhoven. For ISAAC, the event was a great success and we are already looking forward to the next edition. Luckily, that opinion is shared by our visitors: the event was awarded a five-star rating!
After a brief introduction from ISAACus Camiel Baltussen, the day kicked off. The morning schedule was filled by Aljan de Boer of TrendsActive: “How to entice today’s consumer,” followed by ISAACus Marco van Herpen's story about e-commerce: “Five trends to watch.”
In between sessions people were able to go to different booths for a virtual space journey or to enjoy a range of other fun experiences in the world of virtual and augmented reality. Fortunately, the weather gods smiled down on us that day and we were able to have a great outdoor lunch. After lunch, three more interesting sessions were scheduled. First, there was “Coins and Ether: The Blockchain Unchained” by ISAACi Friso Geerlings and Jelle Raaijmakers. Maarten Elshove of Force Field then took us on “A journey into VR/AR.” The surprise of the day was the announcement of “Force Field Business Solutions (powered by ISAAC).” ISAAC and Force Field decided to join forces and tackle this new market together. Read more about Force Field Business Solutions (powered by ISAAC) in this press release.

The final session of the day was reserved for the enthusiastic speaker Richard van Hooidonk. He finished the day with a most interesting “Wake-up call”.
To many, the Evoluon is well known. Few, however, have ever seen this fantastic building from the inside. A tour of the building was hosted – and who better to tell visitors all about the location than a former Philips employee.
The day finished off with some great drinks and bites.
See you all next time!
